Two regional Federal Reserve presidents are retiring following embarrassing revelations of stock trading last year as the U.S. central bank battled Covid-19.
In an unprecedented development in the Fed’s 100-plus year history, Boston Fed chief Eric Rosengren and Dallas’s Robert Kaplan on Monday separately announced plans to step down. Rosengren will depart later this week and Kaplan on Oct. 8.
